Barici: Hotels and Accommodation

The regional road cycling route 47 runs through Barići between Karojba and Vižinada. A road cycling itinerary from Buje also passes through Barići between Karojba and Vižinada. Barići is also part of a regional inland Istrian road cycling route connecting Vižinada, Karojba, Motovun, Oprtalj and Buje. Geographical Location

The county road ŽC 5222 is listed as running from Barići (DC200) to Karojba (ŽC5007), with a recorded length of 6.279 kilometres.

Cycling

The Zvjezdana cycling route is a family-oriented circular route from the centre of Višnjan via Baškoti and Dubrava to Tićan and back to Višnjan through the Istrian forests and the lavender fields around Deklevi. It is described as suitable for younger and less experienced cyclists.

Near Barići, the Zvjezdana staza cycling route runs along forest paths, through vineyards and nearby villages towards Tičan, where the new observatory and the Kameni krug installation are located.

Landscape

In the Višnjan area, vineyards and olive groves on red Istrian soil combine with Boškarin pastures, forests, as well as karst caves, sinkholes and underground formations.

Around Barići, the Sovina staza is a marked 7.7-kilometre hiking route through forest and gravel paths. It leads via Deklevi and Kočići to Tičan and back to Višnjan.

The Sovina staza also includes the Vena viewpoint, with views over olive groves, vineyards and the sea. On clear days, visibility extends to Učka, Ćićarija, the Julian Alps and the Dolomites.

Culture

In the vicinity of Barići, the early Gothic Church of St. Anthony the Abbot is located in Višnjan. It dates from the transition between the 13th and 14th centuries and contains 16th-century frescoes as well as Glagolitic graffiti.

The Staza venecijanskog lava follows a 4.5-kilometre route with an approximate duration of 2.5 hours through historic Višnjan and the old settlement of Barat.
