Nature
Near the center of Čejkovice rises Skála Hill with a quarry. It reaches an elevation of 455 meters above sea level. Čejkovice is also home to a large protected oak tree. Its trunk circumference is approximately 730 centimeters; it was planted at the beginning of the 15th century.
Culture
The wooden Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk stands between the lower and upper village green. It dates from 1898 and has a wooden bell tower.
History
The first written mention of Čejkovice dates from 1360. Originally, the village belonged to the Monastery of Saint Procopius in Sázava. In the Middle Ages, Čejkovice was part of the Chlum estate, which was governed from a castle in nearby Chlum.
Chlum Castle was built in the nearby area around 1276. The ruins of Chlum Castle lie near ÄŒejkovice; three vaulted basement rooms have survived.
