Čestlice: Hotels and accommodations

Čestlice combines a distinctive attraction with vivid evidence of the town’s history. Aquapalace Praha is located in the Průhonice–Čestlice commercial zone and can be reached via the D1 motorway, exit D6. In addition, churches, statues and monuments give the town a historic character.

The water world of Aquapalace Praha covers 9,150 m². The sauna world is additionally divided into Finnish saunas, Roman baths and outdoor saunas. This means that different areas centred around water and heat are located alongside one another within the same complex.

Culture

The Church of Saint Procopius in Čestlice is a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. Its present building was constructed largely between 1863 and 1864; a small church had already stood on the same site in the 14th century.

The statue of Saint Wenceslas is also part of the town’s history. The Baroque sandstone sculpture dates from 1785 and stands on a triangular, park-like square on Václava Vaniše Street in Čestlice.

The monument to the heroes of the First World War stands at the intersection of the roads towards Dobřejovice and Říčany. Two skeletons from the 9th century are buried beneath the monument.

The Práče fortress and Palác Kinských, a palace, are also located in the vicinity of Čestlice. In the wider surrounding region are The Golz-Kinsky Palace, also a palace, and the Rudolfinum Gallery, a museum.
