Dobřichovice: Hotels and accommodations

Dobřichovice stretches along both banks of the Berounka and lies on the popular Prague–Karlštejn tourist route. The town is also located on a main railway line and has regular electric suburban train connections with Prague.

Location and routes

A pedestrian and cycling bridge crosses the Berounka about 1 km downstream from Dobřichovice road bridge. A developed cycle path with rest areas and signposts runs along the left bank. The section between the château and the pedestrian bridge also serves as a promenade and an area for inline skaters.

Nature

The northern boundary of Dobřichovice and Karlík also forms the boundary of the Český kras Protected Landscape Area. In the broader landscape of the Český kras Protected Landscape Area, limestone cliffs, open deciduous forests, steppes, flowering rocks and the canyon-like valley of the Berounka alternate.

The Hvíždinec quartzite rock offers views of Řevnice, Třebaň and the tower of Karlštejn. The Hvíždinec viewpoint can be reached from Dobřichovice via a 270 m ascent.

Water

The Berounka is used by water sports enthusiasts and anglers. A riverside campsite with snack facilities offers amenities for water sports enthusiasts during the summer season.

Culture and events

The Chapel of St. Jude Thaddeus is located in the west wing of Dobřichovice château. The Svatojánská lípa is a legally protected memorial tree planted in 1729 in front of the château of the Knights of the Cross.

The Dobřichovice Wine Festival has been held annually since 2003 toward the end of the summer holidays. The “Cesta mramoru” sculpture symposium takes place in Dobřichovice every odd-numbered year. The “Všechny chutě světa” food festival is also held annually at Dobřichovice château and in its surroundings.
