The Markoman educational trail was opened in 2014. The trail is 1.5 km long, has eight stations, begins in Dobřichov village square next to the stairs leading to the church, and follows the green-marked Pečky–Kouřim hiking trail. The Pičhora car park in Dobřichov is available for visitors to the Markoman educational trail. The trail ends at a station featuring a Germanic house.
Culture and history
The Church of the Holy Trinity stands on a hill above Dobřichov. The present-day Baroque church dates from the 18th century and stands on the site of an older Romanesque church from the 10th century, which was rebuilt in the Gothic style in the 14th century. From the Early Gothic construction phase, the church preserves parts of the eastern nave and the presbytery.
On the hill behind the church, a Baroque wayside cross from the 18th century stands beside the road to the cemetery. Immediately west of Dobřichov lies the Pičhora archaeological burial site, a protected heritage area with a memorial stone commemorating the archaeological excavations in the late 19th century, during which numerous cremation graves were discovered.
The Třebická burial ground comprises more than 100 Germanic graves from the Roman Imperial period. It lies behind the cemetery in Dobřichov on a marked cycle path to Cerhenice. Traditional annual events in Dobřichov include a lantern procession.
