Rostoklaty: Hotels and Accommodation
The symbolic sandstone cross in Rostoklaty, built by Josef and Barbora Chroust, is a 4.2-metre-high, octagonal sandstone cross with pseudo-Gothic motifs and mouldings. It was consecrated on 19 June 1853 by the priest Jan Kinzl from Tuklaty.
Culture
The first Gothic Church of St Martin in Rostoklaty was probably built at the end of the first half of the 14th century; it was first mentioned in writing in 1352. Inside the church, on the Gospel side of the triumphal arch, there is a stone, prismatic Renaissance pulpit commissioned in 1574 by Martin Náchodský, the hetman of the Škvorec estate.
Several high-quality tombstones dating from the second half of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century have been preserved in the former cemetery in Rostoklaty. A memorial plaque commemorating those who fell in the First World War is located on the building of the municipal office in Rostoklaty.
