Pašinka: Hotels and accommodations

The Pašinka climbing sector stretches along both banks of the Polepka (Chotouchovský Creek), approximately 700 m south of Pašinka. The Skála u Kohoutova mlýna sector features an 18 m-high rock face with 57 climbing routes.

Culture and history

Pašinka Fortress is not accessible. It is listed under number 47073/2–830 in the Central Register of Immovable Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic. The main surviving feature of the fortress is a three-storey square tower with a Baroque roof covered with wooden shingles.

After 1922, the painter Václav Radimský lived in Pašinka and drew inspiration from the Polabí and Kolín regions.

Memorial sites

The wayside shrine of the Holy Trinity is freely accessible. The wayside shrine, built of rubble stone, was probably erected at the beginning of the 19th century. The site is associated with a local legend: in 1349, the son of Vladiken Vindervein, the owner of the local fortress, and the daughter of Vladiken Buzek of the Lipanský family are said to have taken their own lives there.

Landscape

The Pašinka lime tree is protected because of its aesthetic appearance, growth, and role as a landscape landmark in connection with a cultural monument. The wayside shrine of the Holy Trinity and the Pašinka commemorative lime tree together form a significant landscape-defining ensemble.

Polepy Educational Trail

The Polepy Educational Trail was designed to serve pedestrians and cyclists. It is easy and has virtually no changes in elevation.
