The Veigert House contains a permanent historical exhibition tracing the history of Kolín from its foundation in the mid-13th century to the mid-19th century. The exhibition displays a charter issued by Přemysl Otakar II in 1261, described as the oldest surviving mention of Kolín. The Gothic cellars also present the historical and architectural development of the building from the 13th to the 21st century. The insect exhibition at the Veigert House introduces nine basic biotopes of the Kolín region and their insect inhabitants.
The Kouřim Region Museum has a long-term exhibition on the early medieval hillfort of Stará Kouřim. It includes a multimedia zone with the documentaries Kouřim Revealed and In Search of the Mystery of the Tismice Goldsmith. The Open-Air Museum of Folk Architecture in Kouřim presents monuments of folk architecture from Central, Eastern, and Northern Bohemia and organizes ethnographic programs focused on traditional festivals throughout the year.
