Dobročovice: Hotels and accommodations

Dobročovice is characterized by the Dobročovický rybník in the village square. On the southern side of the village square, next to the main road, stands the Chapel of St. Isidore.

Culture and history

The late Baroque Chapel of St. Isidore was built around 1700 on the site of an older chapel dating from the time of the plague. The present chapel dates from 1771 and was built at the expense of Duchess Marie Terezie Savojské.

The history of Dobročovice Fortress also goes back a long way. In 1403, it belonged to the Prague citizen Martin Rotlev z Koloděj. Before 1415, Bohuslav, the son of Prokop of Prague, acquired the fortress; after 1426, Bohuslav lived there until around 1465.

There is also a stone two-arch bridge on the road leading northwest along the Výmola stream.

Nature

The Dobročovický rybník has bank vegetation on its eastern side and at the inflow of the Dobročovický potok. Old willows at the Dobročovický rybník are among the most valuable trees in the area.

Along the Výmola River, the Králičina a Povýmolí Natural Monument protects wet meadow ecosystems, flooded reed beds, and small wetlands. The natural monument covers areas in Dobročovice and Úvaly.

Events and trails

The traditional children's fishing tournament will take place at the pond in Dobročovice on August 29, 2026.

At that time, there were no hiking trails through the Dobročovice area.
