Dobrovíz: Hotels and Accommodation

Dobrovíz is located in an old settlement area northwest of Prague, in a gently rolling landscape that was originally used exclusively for agriculture.

Village Ensemble and Chapels

The Dobrovíz Village Heritage Reserve was designated in 1995. It is an ensemble of vernacular architecture. The façades and alterations date predominantly from the 19th century, while the cores of some buildings date back to the 17th century. The protected ensemble of buildings within the Dobrovíz Village Heritage Reserve is concentrated mainly around the village square and comprises eleven listed cultural monuments.

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary is listed as a protected structure in the Dobrovíz Village Heritage Reserve. Also known as Panny Marie, the chapel is a late Baroque building from the 18th century. It stands free-standing, has a rectangular floor plan and a semicircular apse; its façade features a square tower.

Historic Mill Landscape

At the Zákolanský potok, in the stream’s floodplain, Žákův mlýn is a significant surviving relic of the historic milling system. The present buildings date from the mid-18th century.

Historic Routes

Surviving niche chapels have been preserved in Dobrovíz. They are among the surviving elements of historic pilgrimage routes that led radially from Prague into the surrounding area.
