The first surviving written mention of Druhlice comes from a document issued in 1325 during the reign of King John of Luxembourg. A second document from John of Luxembourg dating from 1326 lists Druhlice under the historical spelling Drahlice (Drahlicz). The name Druhlice probably derives from the personal names Druhla or Druhl.

The medieval and modern-era center of Druhlice is recorded as an area with archaeological finds. A chapel dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua stands beside the pond on the village green of Druhlice.
