Dubenec: Hotels and Accommodation

Dubenec Castle was created after 1755 by rebuilding an older building and is now a ruin. The single-storey building, which is partially basemented, has a rectangular floor plan. Its core is a Baroque building that was rebuilt according to plans by Ignác Vojtěch Ullmann in the Neo-Renaissance style.

In addition to the castle, the protected Dubenec castle complex includes the northern farm wing with a residential building and stables, the southern farm wing with a stable and barn, a courtyard with an enclosing wall, and a castle park with remnants of the enclosing wall and swimming pool. The village of Dubenec was founded in 1321 by Štěpán of Tetín. A statue of Saint John of Nepomuk stands in the village square.

The Church of Saint Anne is located in the vicinity of Dubenec. In the wider surrounding region are the Valdek Ruins, the historic site “Lety u Písku. Memorial to the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in Bohemia,” and Karlštejn Castle.

The Bytízský stream enters Dubenec from the southwest and flows through the built-up area. There, it feeds several small water basins. In the northern part of the cadastral area of Dubenec, the Bytízský stream flows into the Kocába.

The Kocába enters Dubenec from the northwest and flows through the northern part of the cadastral area. It is officially classified as a significant watercourse.

Mount Velký Chlum is located in the immediate vicinity of Dubenec. The mountains Velká Leč, Velká Třemošná, and Kuchyňka are located in the vicinity of Dubenec.

Dubenec’s transport infrastructure includes the D4 motorway, the I/4 Class I road, local roads, and bus services.
