Jablonná: Hotels and accommodations
A blue-marked hiking trail runs through the municipality of Jablonná in a north–south direction from Višňová via Jelence to the center of the Hornà Hbity district, continuing to Hornà LÃÅ¡nice and Solenice. A green-marked hiking trail also runs along the northwestern boundary of the municipality through forested areas from PÅ™Ãbram eastwards via Obory to HÅ™Ãměždice.
Nature and trails
The area of Jablonná lies in the MilÃnská vrchovina, a hilly landscape characterized by distinctive ridges, rock formations shaped by weathering and erosion, and deeply incised valleys of the Vltava and its tributaries. The Chobotský potok and Vápenický potok are the most important small watercourses in the municipality.
The natural quality of the Jablonná landscape is enhanced by a high proportion of scattered greenery. Small agricultural plots make up a large part of the landscape. Jablonná has a high-quality natural environment and a varied landscape suitable for recreational purposes. The dominant landscape feature is Velká Skála, at 550.9 m above sea level.
Transport
Road II/118 forms the main transport artery through the municipality of Jablonná. Regular public bus services provide the municipality with access to public passenger transport.
History and the place name
Until the end of patrimonial administration in 1850, Jablonná belonged to the DobÅ™ÃÅ¡ estate. The place name Jablonná is derived from Old Czech words associated with the apple tree.
Culture
Dolejšà mlýn is located in the vicinity of Hornà Hbity. Its mill machinery has been fully preserved, but the mill is not accessible.
