The first written record of Drásov dates back to 1057. The village is located in the Central Bohemian Region near the former mining town of Příbram and about 50 km south of Prague.
Landscape
Several ponds lie within the cadastral area of Drásov, through which the Kocába stream flows. Chlum Hill is the highest point in Drásov. The nearby mountains of Velký Chlum and Velká Leč are also located in the vicinity; the Hradec and Velká Třemošná mountains are in the surrounding area.

Prostřední mlýn is a watermill recorded in Drásov; a first written record exists for the waterworks. The mill is privately owned and not open to visitors.
