Milý: Hotels and accommodations

Northeast of Milý, in the nearby area, lies the Milská stráň Nature Reserve. It protects heat-loving plant and animal communities on marl-rich so-called white slopes; the lady’s-slipper orchid can also be found there. The area is also known for a large population of purple orchids.

Culture

The Baroque Chapel of St. Michael, dating from 1736, stands in the village square of Milý. It was restored from 1968 to 1972. The protected cultural monument comprises the chapel and plot no. st. 1.

In the center of Milý stand historic farmsteads dating from around the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Ensembles of agricultural buildings have been preserved at many of these farmsteads.

Routes and orientation

The road between Srbeč and Hříškov passes through Milý. A blue-marked hiking trail also passes through the village, while a yellow-marked hiking trail ends here.

The 17.5-kilometer route “Borovice – Stožár GSM” runs through Pozdeň, Hřešice, Srbeč, Bdín, and Milý, then returns to Pozdeň via Srbeč. The route passes a BTS transmission mast and then descends to Milý.

At Vošková, the telecommunications mast was the first transmission mast installed in the Czech Republic to be disguised as an artificial tree. A transmission mast stands near Milý in Džbán Nature Park, on the slope of Vošková Hill; from there, views open up over the Slánsko and Kladensko regions.
