The western half of Zavidov retains its historic village layout. Krakovec is one of the places of tourist importance near Zavidov. Krakovec is the ruin of a Gothic castle on a rocky promontory above the confluence of the Šípský and Krakovský streams.
Culture and History
Zavidov was located on the historic Sedlecká Trail from Prague to Rakovník. Dub u Zavidova is a memorial tree south of the road to Václavy. The cross on the village green in Zavidov was made in 1879 by A. F. Vodianský from Teplice.
