Jedomělice: Hotels and Accommodations

Jedomělice lies on the edge of the Džbán Nature Park and at the source of the Byseňský potok stream. In the surrounding forests of Jedomělice, you can observe the white dittany. The Ostrov u Jedomělic Nature Monument has a special connection to this plant: it protects a population of white dittany and other thermophilic plant species.

History and Townscape

Jedomělice was first mentioned in written records in 1316. In 1413, it is mentioned that part of what was then called Dědomilice belonged to the Ostrov fortress complex. The original historic center of Jedomělice consists of agricultural farmsteads grouped around a widened village street. The Ostrov fortress site is separated from the farmyard by a moat.

Cycling Routes

A 9 km cycling route leads from Pozdeň via Jedomělice to Hájovna and continues to Dubový rybník before returning to Pozdeň. The route runs along roads and a forest path. Another 17 km cycling route leads from Jedomělice via Lotouš, Neprobylice, Kutrovice, Kvílice, Plchov, and Pozdeň, running along field and forest paths.
