History

Kladno railway station was once an important railway junction for mining and the steel industry. A route from Kladno railway station follows cycle route 0017 and runs along the present-day railway line.

The Mayrau Mining Museum is a branch of the Sládečko Museum in Kladno. The educational trail on the history of mining in Kladno runs along former mines, the outcrop of the Main Coal Seam, and the Žraločí zuby natural monument.

The Lidice Memorial offers a permanent museum exhibition and a tour through the dignified grounds of the former village. Next to cycle route 0017, the Kladno area has a 300-meter-long natural pump track with easier and more difficult routes.
