Jizbice: Hotels and Accommodation

Koupaliště Zavadilka has a 27 × 55 metre concrete pool with a water depth of 0.2 to 2.0 metres. The pool is supplied without recirculation by a constant flow of water from its own well. Koupaliště also has mobile sanitary facilities with separate toilets, a urinal and showers with running hot and cold water, as well as a snack stand.

Nature and Trails

Písák Jizbice is open to the public and has visitor facilities and an educational trail; visitors should use only the paths and pavements. Five specially protected species of newts and frogs occur at Písák Jizbice. Písák Jizbice also has a 410-metre children's forest trail with 15 stations.

The Stezka Hemžílci od Stračího potoka is marked in the forest with a blue “H” sign. Maps of the route are available at the fire station in Zavadilka and at Písák in Jizbice. The Stezka was created in 2022 and has 15 figures. It is located in the Vypáleniny Forest away from Jizbice and Zavadilka; the Stračí potok flows through the forest, where springs rise and ponds are located.

Local History and Culture

Jizbice was first mentioned in writing in 1223; at that time, the Vladyka Pavlík had his seat there. A regional commemorative bench in Jizbice commemorates the Czech typographer and graphic artist Slavoboj Tusar (17 October 1885–5 October 1950), who was born in Jizbice.

The crosses in Jizbice and at Zavadilka were repaired, and the bell tower at Zavadilka was reconstructed; the work was completed in summer 2026. When the roof of the bell tower at Zavadilka was dismantled, a glass container with documents about earlier work on the bell tower from 1912 and 1995 was removed.

The library in Jizbice offers, among other things, books and brochures about local history. Havranská studánka in Jizbice is a covered spring that is still maintained today.
