KÅ™eÅ¡Ãn: Hotels and Accommodation
KÅ™eÅ¡Ãn lies at the northern foot of the Brdy ridges at an elevation of 448 m, in a forested area belonging to the military forests. From KÅ™eÅ¡Ãn, there is a good view of the Litavka Valley and the Brdy peaks.
Nature
The Na horách Natural Monument is a Category IV protected area (managed reserve) in the cadastral territory of KÅ™eÅ¡Ãn. It protects a phytogeographically significant, extensive and very species-rich locality of the pasque flower (Pulsatilla pratensis), the green-winged orchid (Orchis morio), the common juniper (Juniperus communis) and other local flora.
The landscape around KÅ™eÅ¡Ãn is suitable for relaxation. The forests around KÅ™eÅ¡Ãn are considered a good area for mushroom picking.
Culture
The Chapel of the Immaculate Virgin Mary was built in 1855. Marian devotions are held there in spring.
Routes
The Fabiánova educational trail passes through KÅ™eÅ¡Ãn and introduces tourists and cyclists to the local sights and the scenic beauty of the Podbrdsko region.
Cycle Route 302 is moderately difficult, signposted along roads, and suitable for mountain bikes and trekking bikes. On its route from Dolnà LÃÅ¡nice to HoÅ™ovice, it passes through KÅ™eÅ¡Ãn. The Velký Jinecký okruh circuit runs from Jince through KÅ™eÅ¡Ãn along Cycle Route 302 towards Felbabka. The Z Jinec na Olymp Brd educational trail passes through the Na Horách area.
Getting There
KÅ™eÅ¡Ãn can be reached via a third-class road. The HoÅ™ovice–PÅ™Ãbram bus line serves KÅ™eÅ¡Ãn.
