Trails and Landscape

Cycling Route No. 302 Prague–Vienna runs through Sádek. The Fabiánova educational trail passes through Sádek, points out local sights, and introduces tourists and cyclists to the natural beauty of the region. The educational trail also connects the member municipalities with information boards and is 28 kilometres long.

History and Names

The Zajíců z Valdeka family farmstead on what is now the village green was the first historically documented building in Sádek. The historical field name “U páně dvora” has been preserved in the cadastral area of Sádek. The name Sádek most likely originated as a diminutive of “sad” (orchard). The so-called Panský dvůr belonged to the Sasků ze Sádku family.

Crafts and Events

Nail-making was a widespread craft in the old farmsteads of Sádek. The event “Sádek na kolejích” was a model railway exhibition in Sádek and was held for the fourth time.

There is a restaurant on the eastern outskirts of Sádek.
