Kamberk: Hotels and Accommodation

The Church of St. Martin in Kamberk has been documented in writing since 1352. The present building is a Baroque structure dating from 1720.

History and Museums

Kamberk was probably founded in the second half of the 13th century as a settlement of miners from nearby gold mines. Fragments of the original 14th- and 15th-century building were discovered in the cellar of the fortress.

The Museum of Rural Life is housed in the former building of the Kampelička cooperative savings and loan association. It presents preserved documents and objects from the lives of the rural population at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Landscape and Water

The former fortress of Kamberk is located on the shore of Kamberský rybník. At the same sports pond, Sportovní rybolov Kamberk invites visitors to go fishing.

Kamberk lies in a picturesque landscape below Blaník, close to forests and the Blanice stream.
