Kolešovice: Hotels and Accommodation

In the center of Kolešovice, the Church of St. Peter and Paul stands next to Kolešovice Castle. The castle is a cultural monument comprising the old and new castle, an enclosing wall with gates, and the castle park.

Culture

The present Church of St. Peter and Paul was built by E. Kondel in 1768–1769. It is a single-nave Baroque building with predominantly Baroque furnishings. The interior of Kolešovice Castle is not open to the public.

On the outskirts of Kolešovice, the Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk stands at the crossroads of the roads to Heřmanov and Zderazi. Inside, the chapel is decorated with a stone statue of St. John of Nepomuk dating from the mid-18th century.

Nature

The landscape around Kolešovice is not highly varied and has a low proportion of forest. The main crops are hops, cereals, and legumes.

Experiences

The “From the Unique Hop Kiln to the Grave of the Rear Admiral” puzzle trail begins at the historic hop kiln in Kolešovice. On the small hop field supported by wooden poles, visitors can try hand-picking hops during the harvest season on the last Saturday in August.

The Kolešovka cycling route has only 49 meters of elevation difference and, according to the tourist information office, is also suitable for family outings.

Transport

The Kolešovka heritage railway runs along a 17-kilometer route from Lužná u Rakovníka to Kolešovice through hop-growing villages in the Rakovník region. Kolešovice is the terminus of the excursion steam trains on the Kolešovka heritage railway.
