Slabce: Hotels and Accommodation

Slabce Castle was founded at the beginning of the 18th century by Karel Vančura z Řehnic. The romantic castle park of Slabce is a destination for excursions in the village and is freely accessible. The Empire-style Slabce Castle is not accessible. The castle complex of Slabce is not separated from the surrounding area by walls or fences; only two short sections of wall remain on the eastern side.

Culture and History

According to tradition, the origins of the Church of St. Nicholas date back to the beginning of the 12th century. The church acquired its present appearance during extensive renovations at the end of the 18th century. The Čechův válcový mlýn roller mill was built in 1918–1919 by the miller Václav Čech from Šlovice and was the first electrically powered mill in Czechoslovakia.

The Nanebevstoupení Páně cemetery chapel in Slabce is dedicated to the Ascension of Christ and dates from 1869. The Slabce rectory is a late Baroque complex with a mansard-roofed building and partly preserved farm buildings. A metal plaque on the rectory commemorates the stay there of the priest Josef Antonín Janiš from 1777 to 1784.

The U Svatého Petra Church is located in the vicinity of Slabce. Nearby are Stráž Hill [Hřebečníky-Újezdec], Čertový kopec Hill [Slabce-Modřejovice] and Polanec Hill [Slabce-Modřejovice].
