Korkyne: Hotels and Accommodation

Local tradition includes the legend “Pověst o Korkyni”, recorded by Bartoloměj Paprocký in 1602. The chapel in Korkyně was renovated in 2012. The remains of Korkyně Fortress were converted into a granary. The chapel of Korkyně Fortress was dissolved in 1790 and converted into a residential building. The Okrouhlík gold mine near Korkyně extracted gold from remnants of ore veins and was leased out several times in the second half of the 16th century.

The largest forest complex in the municipality of Korkyně, Okrouhlík, extends southwest towards the Pánkov district. The Korkyňský pond is located directly in Korkyně; it was completely revitalised in 2022, equipped with benches and fitted with an information board. Since 2006, an area with underground gold-bearing ore workings has been located in the Korkyně area. It is marked by spoil heaps and depressions and lies in forest areas on the edge of the Okrouhlík forest, northwest of the Pánkov district.

A marked tourist route runs through the Korkyně area. Stáj Rybana offers horseback riding in Korkyně. Hubert’s Ride is scheduled to take place in Korkyně in November as a show-jumping event.

Korkyně has three bus stops served by Prague Integrated Transport (PID): U Kapličky at the intersection of roads 10216 and 102, in Křížov and in Korkyně.
