Prosenicka Lhota: Hotels and Accommodation

Prosenická Lhota has a landscape shaped by ponds. Together, the ponds cover more than 33 hectares; Jelito is the largest of the ponds mentioned and has an area of 12 hectares.

Nature and Paths

New pools were created at Jelito Pond in 2025. The village landscape also includes the protected small-leaved lime tree “Lípa u studánky”, which is registered as a prominent feature of the village landscape and bears witness to the existence of the village since at least the early 17th century.

The puzzle trail through Prosenická Lhota is free of charge, can be downloaded, and can be completed independently at any time. In addition, cycling route 8136 runs between Prosenická Lhota and Sedlčany. The municipality of Prosenická Lhota is also developing the designated footpath “Mezi motyly”.

History and Village Life

The municipal chronicle of Prosenická Lhota has been kept since 1922. The library is also part of the local amenities: it has 2,500 books of its own and receives a collection of 50 books for exchange every six months.

Culture and Events

The amateur theatre group Zvonokaplička from Prosenická Lhota is dedicated exclusively to the works of Jára Cimrman.

The Lhotecký pětiboj is a traditional local event. The 2025 edition was the 27th edition and included unusual disciplines.
