Dobris: Hotels and Accommodation
Dobříš showcases its cultural focus particularly around the château. Its present appearance was created during reconstruction from 1745 to 1765, after an earlier fire had almost destroyed the building. The Colloredo-Mannsfeld exhibition is located on the first floor of the south wing. It combines rooms furnished in a contemporary style, as they probably looked in the 17th and 18th centuries, with modernly designed areas featuring large touchscreens and projections. The interactive tour offers an audio guide for your own phone; an MP4 device can also be borrowed free of charge at the entrance to the exhibition. The French Park covers 2 hectares and is a rare example of Rococo garden architecture. The Orangerie houses interactive exhibitions for the whole family, the Zdeněk and Emilie Miler Gallery, and an exhibition about the château gardens.
History and Museum
The Muzeum města Dobříše is located in the late Baroque Kopáčkův dům, whose history dates back to the 15th century. The museum also includes “Exponáty v ulicích”, an interactive outdoor game. QR codes are located at the individual stations. The route is approximately 2.5 km long and can be completed on foot in about 40 minutes; additional time is required to solve the puzzles and search for the QR codes.
Exploring the City
The Small Circuit (Malý okruh) leads through the centre of Dobříš. At its 21 stations, visitors learn interesting facts about the city’s historic sites. A second city walk leaves the centre and leads through quieter neighbourhoods. At 18 stations, it provides information about Dobříš’s industry and the surrounding nature.
Nature
The Dobříšská stezka poznání – Dobříšova stezka was opened on 1 April 2025 and includes information boards about animals, birds, plants and trees. The Lesní stezka leaves the built-up urban area and leads into nature. At 15 stations, it presents exceptional natural and cultural-historical sites around Dobříš.
