Lešany: Hotels and Accommodation
The Lešany Military Technical Museum displays more than 700 historical tanks, cannons, motorcycles, armoured, cargo and passenger vehicles, as well as rocket technology, communications and engineering equipment, and logistics materials dating from 1890 to the present day.
Culture and History
Since 1996, the Lešany Military Technical Museum has been located in the former artillery barracks between Krhanice and Lešany near Týnec nad Sázavou. As part of the annual opening of the exhibition season, events featuring demonstrations of historical military technology in motion take place in the museum arena. Among the biggest events of the year are the Tank Days, held on the last Saturday at the end of the summer holidays.
Lešany Chateau was rebuilt from an older manor house in the middle of the 16th century. After 1683, the St. Vitus Chapter at Prague Castle gave the building its current four-winged form. On the first floor, Lešany Chateau offers an Art Nouveau tour; on the ground floor and in the chapel, the exhibition “The World’s Greatest Mysteries and Secrets” can be seen.
The František Hrubín Memorial Hall presents an exhibition about the life and work of František Hrubín in connection with his region. It is located in the Lešany municipal office building.
