History

The history of the village includes the evacuation of Lipník in 1940 and the use of the village as a shooting range by the German army. After the Second World War, residents returned to Lipník and began rebuilding the village.

The Mordové rokle Military History Open-Air Museum commemorates the history of the former military training area from 1904 to 1991. The museum is located in the cadastral territory of Lipník, and its grounds are freely accessible year-round.

The V-521 facility houses a museum memorial to the armies that were stationed or operated in the former Milovice–Mladá military area. The V-521 facility is accessible during regular opening events.

Culture

A memorial called “Pomník Obětem 1. světové války” stands on a lawn in the center of Lipník. It bears an inscription commemorating those who fell in the First World War, as well as the years 1914–1918.

The memorial called “Pomník Obětem 2. světové války” commemorates the evacuation of Lipník in 1940 and its resettlement in 1945.
