Nebužely: Hotels and Accommodation

Nebužely is a place where cultural history, the natural environment, and transport routes are reflected in specific buildings and paths.

Nature

The Kokořínský důl Nature Reserve lists Nebužely as one of its cadastral areas. It encompasses a geomorphologically highly varied sandstone complex with predominantly forested habitats, canyon-like valleys, rock steps, smaller rock cities, and weathering formations such as the Pokličky, as well as other formations created by the weathering of iron-bearing sandstone.

Culture and History

The Protestant church in Nebužely is an 18th-century church building that was originally the tolerance prayer house of a Reformed, or Helvetic, religious congregation. It was completed in 1786, while its tower was added in 1864. Today, the church serves as a repository for the Mělník District Museum.

The Catholic church in Nebužely is a single-nave Baroque rural church building with an irregular cruciform floor plan. Inside is a remarkable marble memorial stone for Anna Hrušková from Březno. A statue of Saint Jasna Nepomuského was erected in front of the church in 1884.

The village's historic architectural forms also include monumental, representative farmsteads. Because of their elaborate design, they are sometimes also called “selskými paláci” (“farmers' palaces”) in Nebužely.

Paths and Transport

The former Kroužek water mill was probably built in the 16th century and was converted around the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries into a brick building with a Francis turbine. It is located directly on a red-marked hiking trail and on cycle route 142. From Nebužely, the nearest red-marked hiking trail and cycle route 142 in the direction of Kokořín are approximately 2.5 km away.

Cycle route 8170 runs from Kroužek via Nebužely and Řepín to Řepínský Důl. The route is moderately difficult, follows an asphalt road, and is suitable for all types of bicycles. Nebužely also has a railway halt and a freight loading area; the municipality lies on railway line 076 between Mladá Boleslav, Mšeno, and Mělník.
