Nedomice: Hotels and Accommodation

Nedomice combines the Cecemín landscape feature with a history shaped by agriculture and clearly traceable transport connections. Nature, local production, and historic memorial sites are situated within different, clearly described contexts.

Nature

The registered significant landscape feature of Cecemín extends across parts of the cadastral areas of Nedomice, Dřísy, and Všetaty. It comprises the terraced slope of Cecemín between Všetaty and Dřísy. The slopes of Cecemín are protected as a registered significant landscape feature and include a regional biocentre.

Cecemín comprises thermophilous grass-and-herb communities of the associations Festucion valesiacae and Bromion erecti, which are referred to as the “white slopes.” Within the Cecemín landscape feature, travel is possible only on foot along a partially surfaced farm road.

Getting Around

A blue-marked tourist route runs along the eastern side of Nedomice’s cadastral boundary. Public transport in Nedomice is provided by two bus routes, with stops near the school and on the village square by the cross.

Nedomice’s rail connection is provided via the station in neighbouring Ovčáry, approximately 500 metres from the village centre.

Local History

The central bell tower of Nedomice stands on the site of an original wooden belfry. Near the bell tower, the memorial to those who fell in the First World War was unveiled on 26 July 1925. It bears the names of sixteen fallen residents of Nedomice.

Agriculture

The agricultural enterprise in Nedomice currently manages approximately 50 hectares of land and grows traditional vegetables and herbs. In Nedomice and its surrounding area, the Jakubec family continues an agricultural family tradition whose beginnings date back to the first half of the 20th century. The family has been growing and selling vegetables for 30 years.
