History
The municipality of Nový Jáchymov was founded in 1810. The impetus for its establishment was the construction of an ironworks with blast furnaces, a foundry, and auxiliary facilities.
The Cech building was constructed in 1812 in the Italian style and served as the entrance to an iron ore mine. The walls on both sides of the Cech show a geological cross-section of Krušná hora, as well as the dip and thickness of the ore layers. The former Cech building, formerly known as the cáchovna, now serves as a restaurant.
