Kuří: Hotels and Accommodations

A forest path from Voděrádky to Kuří leads to a pond with a mill in Kuří. It bears the name “cestou od mlýna k mlýnu” (“From Mill to Mill”), follows the Pitkovický stream through the forest, and offers a variety of natural landscapes. The path is suitable for experienced hikers as well as for strollers designed for rough terrain. Cornův, Dolejší mlýn is also located near Kuří in an isolated setting.

Nature

Another hiking route leads from Dobřejovice via Nupaky toward Kuří. It runs over bridges and grassy paths through the valley of the Pitkovický stream.

History and Culture

The new school building in Kuří was ceremonially consecrated on June 20, 1909. After its consecration, the school was not only a place of education but also played an important role in the social and cultural life of the municipality. The former school in Kuří was closed in 1969 due to the low number of pupils.

The chapel in Kuří was built by the municipality in 1903. The foundation stone for the Kuří memorial to the local people who fell in the World War was laid on September 28, 1921.

Práče is a fortress in the vicinity of Kuří. Nearby are Skalka [Strančice-Předboř] and Petrovy vrchy [Popovičky - Chomutovice], both of which are hills.
