Střezimíř: Hotels and Accommodation

The Vyhlídková trasa Střezimíř circular trail is just under 15 kilometres long and leads over the hills in the surroundings of Střezimíř. Blue markers lead to seven viewpoints.

Nature

The hill with the Chapel of St. Vojtěch offers expansive views in all directions, especially to the south. The chapel has been newly renovated and features an illusionistic altar.

Culture

The Parish Church of St. Havel in Střezimíř is a Gothic building. Its presbytery has a particularly distinctive vault with numerous branching ribs and is illuminated by three Gothic windows. The Church of St. Havel has been documented in writing since 1352; its Gothic building dates from the 14th century and was altered in the 17th century.

Events and Railway

Every year, Střezimíř is one of the most sought-after starting points for the legendary Praha–Prčice March. Svatohavelské posvícení is considered a celebration of the anniversary of the consecration of the church dedicated to Saint Gall.

At the Železniční skanzen Střezimíř, visitors can already enjoy an experience ride on a railbike; the visitor programme also includes short tours of the station grounds. The Železniční skanzen Střezimíř is being transformed in a former station on the Prague–Linz line into an interactive museum and a living reminder of the railway history of Česká Sibiř.
