Štíhlice: Hotels and accommodations

The archaeological site of Lažany is located in the cadastral area of Štíhlice and is classified as a significant archaeological site. It comprises the remains of a former medieval settlement with a fortress and several farmsteads and lies at the edge of the forest west of the road connecting Černokostelecká Street with Štíhlice. The first written mention of Štíhlice dates from 1358.

Villagescape and Culture

The Lípa Svobody (Linden of Freedom) was planted on the village square in Štíhlice in November 1918. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is a new copy; the original statue was stolen. Three old lime trees are considered a local natural attraction. The Štíhlice bell tower stands on a rise in the center of the village on the road to Kozojedy. The column bell tower dates from 1891 and was built to replace an older wooden bell tower.

Landscape

Štíhlice forms the gateway to the forests of Dolánky. According to the municipality's description, their character resembles that of the Šumava region. The Šembera Stream shapes the forests of Dolánky and feeds a large part of the streams in Štíhlice.

Marked Routes

The marked main cycling route No. 1 passes through the cadastral area of Štíhlice, initially along Road II/113 from Mukařov to Štíhlice and then along Road III/11312 to Vyžlovka; it continues on to Jevany. In Štíhlice, cycling route No. 0089 branches off from this route and follows Road II/113 to Doubravčice. A marked red hiking route runs through the forested areas in the western part of the cadastral area of Štíhlice.

Events

The event “Dětský den s bojovkou” announced a children's day described as traditional, featuring a scavenger hunt for children. A special evening program for adults was also planned.
