Suchodol: Hotels and Accommodations

The first written mention of Suchodol dates back to 1360. At that time, the noble estate was owned by Petr ze Suchého Dolu. The Church of Saint Luke also preserves historical details: its tower contains a bell made by Pavel Korka z Korkyně in 1582, while the church interior features a Baroque altar with a painting of Saint Luke.

In Suchodol’s central public square, a cross stands in front of the grounds of the agricultural cooperative. The Church of Saint Anna is also located nearby. In the wider surrounding region are the Zřícenina Valdek ruins, Karlštejn Castle, and the historical site of Lety u Písku with the Memorial to the Roma and Sinti Holocaust in Bohemia.

Velký Chlum Mountain is located in the immediate vicinity of Suchodol. The mountains of Kuchyňka, Velká Leč, and Hradec are also nearby.

Letiště Příbram Airport lies within Suchodol’s cadastral area. In connection with Suchodol, Letiště Příbram–Dlouhá Lhota is considered an air-traffic facility; tandem skydiving from 4,000 meters is offered at this airport.

In 2020, the Suchodol multi-purpose sports field had public opening hours on weekdays from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on weekends, public holidays, and during school holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Use could be reserved by email in 2020; only confirmed reservations were valid.
