The first confirmed written mention of Německá Lhota dates from 1292; at that time, King Wenceslaus II donated the village to the newly founded Zbraslav Monastery. The Chapel of Saint Wenceslas had already stood in the village for 200 years at that time. In front of the main entrance to the Kovohutě complex in Lhota u Příbramě stands a 4-meter-high bronze statue of a smelter worker.
