Smolotely: Hotels and accommodations
Culture and history
Smolotely Castle is a late Baroque building in the center of the village. Between 1706 and 1732, it was converted from a Gothic fortress into a Baroque château.
The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk stands in Smolotely’s village square. It was brought to Smolotely from an unspecified workshop in Prague on May 16, 1834.
In the area of the castle, there is a burial ground dating from the Late Bronze Age of the Knovíz culture. The preserved brick chimney of the former steam mill in Smolotely is considered one of two architectural rarities of its kind in the Czech Republic.
