The educational trail “Po stopách kameníků” passes through Svojetice. It is approximately 25 km long in total and runs through six villages: Louňovice, Struhařov, Svojetice, Srbín, Mukařov and Žernovka.

Culture

The 13 stops along the educational trail introduce the history of granite mining and, above all, its processing by stonemasons. In Svojetice, the Obec Baráčníků is the oldest association and is still active.

In the wider regional surroundings of Svojetice are Práče Fortress, Palác Kinských, The Golz-Kinsky Palace and the Galerie Rudolfinum museum.

Nature

Voděradské bučiny is a nature reserve crossed by several hiking and cycling trails. The circular route “Okruh přes Voděradské bučiny a naučnou stezku Klokočná” leads through this National Nature Reserve and through Svojetice.

The Vysoký les [Klokočná] hill is located in the immediate vicinity of Svojetice. The surrounding area also includes the (Na Marjánce) [Zvánovice] hill, Skalka [Strančice-Předboř] hill and Dolánka [Tismice] hill.

Routes

The “Cesta kocoura Mikeše” route is 25 km long and leads from Hrusice to Mukařov. Since spring 2023, it has comprised 14 stops with signs containing excerpts from Ladov’s book about the cat Mikeš; stone kilometre markers stand between them.

Other places: Sulice, Předboj, Jevany, Celakovice, Zlonín, Měšice, Nová Ves and Oleška.

To the higher-level travel overview: Okres Praha-Východ.
