Třebsko: Hotels and Accommodation
History
The square fortification of Třebsko Hrádek dates from the Late La Tène period and probably belongs to the type of Celtic square cult precincts. Previously, the site was considered a military camp from the Thirty Years' War. The archaeological site lies on the slope of the Na hrádkách hill above the right bank of the Hrádecký-Třebský potok stream.
The earthwork forms a rectangle measuring 96 × 67 m; the accompanying ditch is approximately the same depth, while the embankment built up on the best-preserved side is more than 2 m high there. The first written mention of Třebsko dates from 1367.
Culture
The parish Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary stands on a rise at the southern edge of Třebsko. The organ by Gotthard Welzel currently located in Třebsko was transferred there in 1960 from St. Anne's Church in Kostelec nad Orlicí. The organ, created in 1703, has facade pipes with ornamentation unique in Bohemia, as well as impressive acanthus carvings. The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Třebsko is also one of the concert venues of the Antonín Dvořák Music Festival.
