Tochovice: Hotels and Accommodation
Tochovice showcases its history through striking contrasts: at one end of the village, a château lies in an extensive English landscape park, while at the other end stands the cemetery church. Tochovice Château is a two-wing, single-storey Empire-style building with a frontage facing the English park. The château and park are privately owned and not open to the public.
History
The Church of St Martin is considered Tochovice’s oldest monument. The parish church already existed in 1331 and had been a parish church since 1356. It preserves a Gothic portal and old gravestones; a new nave and a tall tower were added between 1899 and 1904.
The small Baroque Chapel of St Anne stands on the road to Březnice. It was built before the mid-18th century, was already being used for devotions before 1780, and was restored by the municipality of Tochovice in 2013.
Art and Railway
Today, the sculpture Živá voda stands in the park near Nové bytovky in Tochovice. Its creator is the academic sculptor Jan Pichl (born 1935).
The U Kolejí railway exhibition is located at house number 87 in Tochovice, next to the Tochovice zastávka stop. Visitors and passers-by can ring the bell so that Dan Suk can show them around the exhibition.
Landscape and Traces
The Celtic sanctuary Keltské hradiště Třebsko II lies on the slope of Holý vrch above Podrejží. The contemporaneous quadrangular ramparts, which have now almost disappeared, leave only a prominent change in elevation on the northeastern side of the outline visible in the terrain.
Along the Lázský stream near the Podrejží millworks are the so-called rýžovnické sejpy, remnants of medieval and modern-era gold panning. Remnants of gold panning can also be found in the stream near Podrejží.
Paths and Routes
Cycle route 8212 runs along the Třebsko – Tochovice – Stará Voda – Hořejany – Tušovice – Svojšice – Řeteč route. A geocaching route now follows the former Orlík branch railway line.
The Tochovický kros Podrejžím is a seven-kilometre autumn run through the wooded Džbány valley along the Lázský stream. The route passes the Džbánek ponds and wetlands, goes by the water mill in Podrejží and the former mining settlement of Kamenná, and returns to Tochovice.

Tochovice railway station is located on line 200 between Beroun and Protivín, which runs via Praha and České Budějovice.
