Těchařovice: Hotels and Accommodation
About one-third of the municipality of Těchařovice is forested; large ponds border Těchařovice on two sides, and the hills of Vinice, Bukovec, Velká Leč and Velká Třemošná are located in the surrounding area.
Landscape
Těchařovice is situated in a landscape with small woodland areas. Another pond lies south of Těchařovice; together with the other ponds, it more or less encloses the Háj woodland.
History and Culture
The first written mention of Těchařovice dates from 1356. A historic chapel stands approximately in the centre of Těchařovice on the main road.
In the wider regional surroundings of Těchařovice lies the historic site “Lety u Písku. Memorial to the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in Bohemia”. The castle Hrad Zvíkov, the ruins of “Zřícenina Valdek” and the Svatá Anna Church are also located in the same wider regional area. Březnice State Chateau is a national cultural monument site and is administered by the National Heritage Institute.
Routes and Transport
A blue-marked hiking route of the Club of Czech Tourists (KČT) runs through Těchařovice. The Březnice–Starosedlský Hrádek excursion also passes through Těchařovice. The current PID bus route 428 serves the Těchařovice, Na Čmíně stop.
