Vodslivy: Hotels and Accommodation

Vodslivy tells the story of its local history through clearly dated traces: the first written mention dates back to 1436. In the village square, next to the monument to those who fell in the First World War, stands a column bell made of red Permian sandstone.

History

During the Thirty Years’ War, Swedish troops burned Vodslivy to the ground; the buildings had to be rebuilt around 1700. A school was probably founded in Vodslivy in 1768 on the basis of an order dating from the time of Maria Theresa. The new school building was completed on 10 October 1863, before the school was closed in 1947.

Landscape and Trails

The Vodslivský potok stream flows through the village of Vodslivy. In the immediate vicinity are the hills known as Horka [Chocerady-Vestec], Bílč [Vodslivy] and Spálená hora [Sázava-Bělokozly]. In the wider region around Vodslivy are also the mountain known as Žebrák and the Loreta Church. The area around Vodslivy is criss-crossed by numerous hiking trails.
