Chlístov: Hotels and Accommodations

A specific testimony to the history of Chlístov is the war memorial made of a roughly hewn gray stone with a polished granite plaque. According to the inscription, it commemorates the fallen of the World War from the municipality of Konopiště.

History

Chlístov was referred to as “villa Lacznicze” in 1341 and as “in Chystow” in 1394. In 1560, seven resident farmers in Chlístov paid the Konopiště estate an annual monetary rent of 4 schock and 25 groschen.

The archaeologically significant village center lies on both banks of a left tributary of the Konopišťský potok. The existence of the village of Žabovřesky in the municipality and cadastral area of Chlístov u Benešova is first documented in writing in 1342.
