Záboří Nad Labem: Hotels and Accommodation
Záboří nad Labem lies near the confluence of the Doubrava and the Elbe. The protected natural monument of Lžovické tůně is also located in the cadastral area of Záboří nad Labem. It protects fragments of the Elbe floodplain ecosystems, including hard- and softwood floodplain forests, ponds with aquatic vegetation, tall-herb stands, and wet alder and willow stands.
Church and Monuments
The Baroque Marian column in Záboří nad Labem was erected in 1739 and stands on the village green next to the Church of Saint Procopius. The church dates approximately from the mid-12th century and features an unusual architectural design with a broad, short nave, a square presbytery with a central tower, and a sacristy with an oratory on the upper floor.
The Church of Saint Procopius complex is a protected cultural monument. It includes the rectory, utility buildings, a wooden bell tower, the enclosure wall, and the remains of the cemetery with old graves. The wooden bell tower stands north of the church.
Local History
Záboří nad Labem is one of the oldest settlements in the wider area. The village was held by a monastery from 1301. The first written mention of Záboří nad Labem dates from 1338. Another significant moment in its history was 1 September 1845, when the first train arrived in Záboří nad Labem.

Next to the Church of Saint Procopius there is a tourist signpost indicating the directions of marked trails. In nearby Habrkovice, Ringelland welcomes visitors on weekdays to view an animal enclosure with lions, tigers, the hippopotamus Davídek, porcupines, Cameroon goats, chickens, and turtles.
