Zlončice is characterized by landscapes where nature conservation is combined with practical route connections.
Nature and Trails
Hlaváčková stráň protects dry grassland and rocky steppe habitats with significant representatives of heat-loving steppe and forest-steppe flora and fauna. It preserves a characteristic landscape with typical relief as well as geological and geomorphological features.
Zlončická rokle is a natural biocorridor and a protected landscape zone in Přírodní park Dolní Povltaví, where rare plants grow. You can walk or cycle down through it to the Vltava; there, it connects to a hiking trail and a cycling route.
Cycling route 8272 is signposted at the “Zlončice, rozcestí” signpost and leads in the direction of Chvatěruby and Postřižín.
Horse Riding
Stáj Dolánky offers riding lessons for young children and individual riding instruction. There are also trail rides along the river and on field paths in the surroundings of Zlončice.
Village Square and Events
The Zlončice fountain is freely accessible in the recreational area by the municipal office on the village square. Originally, it was a municipal reservoir for river water; following a modern redesign, it now serves exclusively decorative purposes.
Zlončický den takes place every year around the turn of August and September to commemorate the 2002 flood. The Zlončické veselí programme included a run through Zlončická rokle.
