Kobylice: Hotels and Accommodation

The first written mention of Kobylice dates from 1393 and is found in the Nový Bydžov Book of Conscience. The village is located on the main road between Hradec Králové and Nový Bydžov; buses run in both directions until the evening. The FC Spartak Kobylice football stadium has 200 standing places and 50 seats.

History

According to the local history, Kobylice was devastated after the Thirty Years’ War. The local history connects the creation of Opatov with the parcelling of the former Nový dvůr estate in 1876. The name Kobylice probably derives from “kobylnice,” a term for clayey soil. Kobylice has a cemetery chapel with an adjacent burial ground.
