Zachrašťany: Hotels and accommodations
The old fortress in Zachrašťany was conquered and destroyed in 1425. It stood south of the village on a hill called “Hrubý kopec” in the meadows.
Culture
The monument to Dobromil Špinka stands in Zachrašťany at an intersection next to House No. 1. It identifies him as a member of the British Royal Air Force (RAF) and records that he died on March 3, 1942, during an air raid on Emden. Opposite the municipal office in Zachrašťany stands a wooden bell tower.
The Zachrašťanský Jarmark was held for the second time on July 15, 2017. At the 2016 Zachrašťanský Jarmark, visitors could watch and try out demonstrations of traditional crafts such as metal embossing, candle making, wire weaving, embroidery, and patchwork. On October 11, the traditional Strašidlení took place in Zachrašťany.
The Zachrašťany municipal library has almost 4,000 titles from various genres. There is also a creative workshop for children and adults; information about current participation dates is available.
