Culture and History

The ossuary in Kbelnice is a monument to the Prussian-Austrian War of 1866. It contains the mortal remains of fallen soldiers and gravestones. The Kbelnice Ossuary grounds include military and civilian graves.

Beyond Kbelnice, on the road from Jičín to Turnov, there is a military cemetery for those who fell in the War of 1866. The Art Nouveau chapel of the military cemetery was built between 1904 and 1906. A monument to the Holy Trinity stands in the centre of Kbelnice.
