Dětenice: Hotels and Accommodations
Dětenice tells its story across several eras. Dětenice Castle was initially transformed from a 13th-century fortress into a Renaissance chateau and acquired its present late Baroque appearance between 1762 and 1765. The guided tour of Dětenice Chateau includes a collection of around 350 weapons belonging to the Knights of Malta, mostly from the Thirty Years' War.

Jousting tournaments take place during the season at the tournament grounds of Dětenice Chateau. The venue has a covered grandstand; performances take place in all weather conditions.

Park and Nature

It offers a historic atmosphere beneath vaulted stone ceilings, with wooden tables and benches, candlelight, and period music. Its program includes a fakir with a snake, a fire show, fights between heavily armoured combatants, swordsmen, female dancers, and beggars.
